While all of you have awesome app ideas, I use mine more for productivity. This phone (Samsung Charge) is my first Droid phone. I avoided them like the flu because I knew I'd have issues syncing my phone and my computer, but once I saw Verizon was going damn near ALL Droid, I decided to get on the bandwaggon.

I researched the Droid App Market for WEEKS before getting my phone so I had a huge list of stuff I wanted before I ever got the phone. I was shocked at how many folks have been on Droids since day one and didn't know a lot of the apps I had even existed. I'm just going to name a few because - as you can see - I'm a typing rambler. :)

1.) Skype Mobile - I thought it was all over when Microsoft bought them in May, but I was wrong. Either they forgot to make it where we cannot enjoy it, or it works for my phone since it's so new - either way, I love it. I can talk to my best friend in the UK for free - and most importantly, if I go to the UK, I can use Skype mobile to call everyone back at home for free! In other words, you automatically turn your phone into a world phone!

2.) News Republic - I don't watch TV so that would include CNN. Unlike the USA today/CNN/MSNBC apps, this app has ALL those combine - and you can fix it to your favorites. It's nice if you want to just get your news it quickly while you're on the toilet in the mornings :)

3.) Evernote - can sync what you type on evernote.com to your phone with no problems.

4.) Agenda Widget - the calender that comes with the phone only shows one day at a time.

5.) Check book - this will allow you to keep track of your money in your account without having to physically write it down.

6.) Instant Heart rate Monitor - I once spent over $100 on a heart rate monitor watch that broke in less than six months. This app solves that problem for good.

7.) Shopping List - when I run out of an item, I just scan the barcode and there's my shopping list!

8.) Calorie Counter - same thing as the shopping app. just scan what you ate and boom! You're counting calories!

9.) MP3 Downloader - free app; free music; all the music you can find. you download it straight to your storage card - and it's there for keeps. Enough said!

In addition, I'm studying for the GRE, keeping track of my periods, how much water I drink, my weight - everything - using various apps on my phone. I send crochet blankets to people a lot as a part of a side buiness. "Parcels" is an app that I can use to scan the barcodes of the packages when the post does and my phone will alert me when the person gets the packages.

My all-time favorite: The app callee "Square" allows you sell ANYTHING to ANYONE using THEIR debit/credit card! This one is the BEST because all I have to do is wave this thing they send you for free over a person's credit card and they can sign their name on your phone's screen and VOILA! You have an instant payment waiting for you in your bank account. How sweet is that????

Sorry for being so long-winded. That's just how much I love my DROID!!!!

Once its on the phone, on your home screen, press the "Settings" button and select "Wallpaper". Choose the "Gallery" option and find the saved photo. Adjust the view if needed and select save.
I have the Sprint HTC Hero, a cousin of the Droid. I use "My Shopping List" all the time. So does my wife. She sends me her list of things to pick up on my way home from work.

Dockrunner = no need for a docking station plus makes my DROID the perfect alarm clock.

Skymap = amazing nights actually learning about the sky.

Sleep Timer = peaceful way to fall asleep listening to PANDORA which is simply awesome.

I love my DROID and we have only just begun.
