So much for Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics. Of course Bill Gates unintentionally did away with the Asimov's three laws with the introduction of Windows. They don't call the blue screen of death for nothing you know. It’s actuallyinteresting you brought that up. An Air Canada Flight from Victoria to Toronto put 10 people in the hospital when the flight computer of the A319 went haywire and had to make an emergency landing in Calgary. The press called it a “control problem”. Apparently the aircraft plunged several thousand feet and suffered a severe yawing moment. So that begs the question in a flyby wire control system when the computer has a moment of programming instability who exactly is in control of the aircraft? Would you like to guess? The computer.
